It is our preference, for security purposes, that if you will not be home, the key is left in a lockbox or key safe.Lock boxes provide an added bonus of convenience. If your scheduled cleaner cancels and you want a replacement cleaner, entry is instantly available.

If you do need to give a key to your cleaner, we record this information in our Key Register., Our cleaners, sign and date our Key Register.

It is preferred you are at home for the first clean to meet your cleaner and show them around for familiarity, pointing out your priorities.

Going forward, it is preferable to leave cleaners to their craft undisturbed.

Our advice based on experience, is to allow a little extra time for the first cleaning service booked with us.


For first time cleaning with us, please allow an extra ½ hr  for hourly rates and for our flat rate services, we advise to select a Spring Clean.

Your cleaner/s will provide their own cleaning equipment and supplies. If you prefer your product/s or equipment, please let us know and leave these out for the cleaner. We bring fresh cloths and sponges to each service and colour code, bathrooms, kitchens and common areas.Please note that the majority of our cleaners travel by car and will require parking for the duration of cleaning.

We do not move any heavy furniture to prevent injuries/accidents.
Last minute and same day cancellations may incur a $40 charge due to cleaner loss of pay on short notice.
Your payment information is required upon booking your service.

Payments via Stripe are held until the job is completed.

We may also ask you to rate us and write a review. (optional)
  • De clutter benches and surfaces.
  • A light preparation/tidy that is appropriate to your cleaning service
  • Avoid hazards by ensuring there are no spills, sharp objects, or other liquids on floors.
Yes we do provide invoices.

Our cleaners are independent contracted cleaners and carry their own Public Liability Insurance against breakage/Loss for your peace of mind.

Whether a breakage or loss, the Meticulous Maid, must be notified within 24 hours by email or text along with photo evidence. A form will be sent to you and will need to be filled in within 30 hours of the incident.

We welcome all feedback. If you are not satisfied with your cleaner, we ask that you contact us.

We don’t offer cleaning for the following:

Light bulbs, chandeliers, hoarding, animal waste, bio hazards (mould etc.), high reach areas higher than a 2 step ladder, exterior windows, large scale trash disposal.

We do not move large and heavy furniture.

If a property is deemed as a hazardous cleaning environment, our teams have the right to walk away from such a service. You may be charged a $50 booking fee as we will have held your booking in our schedule.

With the exception of our toilet cleaners which contain bleach, our products are bio degradable. Please let us know of any sensitive surfaces including timber that cannot tolerate products with citric acid.
